Naughty But Nice Tour
Fans had been expecting a new tour from Sarah ever since Unbelievable and with her 4th album Naughty But Nice, she finally decided to get on the road again. This time she performed 23 concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The tickets sold so well that some of the venues were changed for bigger ones! The shows lasted 1 ½ - 2 hours and were very energic and sexy - pure Sarah! Sarah performed 18-19 songs, He's Unbelievable for some reason wasn't performed in all of the gigs, she had 4 costume changes and 5 different themed sets. Marc joined Sarah for the final encore Just One Last Dance whenever his schedule allowed him and when Marc couldn't make it into the concert, Sarah performed Are You Ready To Ride instead.

Concert Description
For those who missed the Naughty But Nice Tour, or would like to remind themselves on how the concert was, here's the detailed description of what the concerts were like. I was at the last concert in Trier and this description is written based on that one show, so I cannot guarantee, it totally applied for all of the concerts.
The concert description and all the photos on this page (except the 2nd photo from set 1) are © Absolute Sarah Connor, all written and photographed exclusively for ASC by the webmaster, so DO NOT use them on your site.
The Stage
To help you to get the picture of the show, here's how the stage looks like.
It's got a video screen on the top and four sets of stairs (you can only see 2 properly, the two in the middle, but there are also two more in the sides.
The band members are located in 3 places: between the stairs in the middle, between the far left and the middle left stairs and between the far right and middle right stairs.
There's also a long catwalk that goes a few meters into the audience.
Set 1 [That's The Way I Am, He's Unbelievable, In My House, From Zero To Hero, Living To Love You]

The show starts with one of Sarah's female dancers dressed as a cleaning lady, she's cleaning the stage when she notices this box with a switch that says Naughty in the top and Nice in the bottom, it also says "Danger: high voltage". She cleans a bit more and looks at it confused and then finally switches it from Naughty to Nice. The box goes bzzz and there's these electricity looking lights coming from it as if it was about to explode. The cleaner runs away and the curtain goes up revealing the stage set and the band. The band starts playing and suddenly Sarah is catapulted to the stage in a second from nowhere. What an entrance! She's wearing a sexy black leather outfit with leather trousers, a leather bikini top and leather sleeves. Everyone is screaming and she just stands still for a while. She takes the bandage that was used for the entrance off from her waist, is handed a microphone and starts singing That's The Way I Am. In some concerts, she sings He's Unbelievable as the second song and in some concerts she skips He's Unbelievable and moves straight to In My House. In the dance routine to In My House, she's sometimes doing some sexy moves with her male dancers and sometimes walking from one side of the stage to the other with her female dancers to greet the audience. The song ends, the lights go off and Sarah stands still. From Zero To Hero starts playing on the background with the robot voices. The lights go on and Sarah and the dancers launch into the dynamic dance routine you might know from the From Zero To Hero tv performances. Now she also enters the catwalk for the very first time in the show and spends a lot of time dancing in there. After the song, she greets the audience by talking to them for the first time in the show. Then she comes back to the main stage area and sings the hit ballad Living To Love You standing in the centre of the stage with a microphone stand. In the c-part of the song: "I admit that from time to time...", she enters the catwalk for the 2nd time and finished the song there, then runs off stage.
Set 2 [You Are My Desire, French Kissing, I Just Started Being Bad]

The second part starts with Asian influenced music on the background and a video of flames on the screen. Two of her female dancers, dressed in Asian style outfits come on stage and tell that they're looking for a guy to join Sarah on stage and if there's any volunteers (and of course there are!). They pick up a man and get him dressed in a sheik outfit and then make him sit in a chair at the top of the stairs that lead to the stage. The beats of You Are My Desire start and Sarah is carried on stage by four of her male dancers in a bed kinda thing. She's wearing a pink Asian style outfit with loads of glittering gold in it. On the second verse, she starts climbing up the stairs to the "sheik" sitting at the top. She dances to him and in the end of the song, she jumps on him on the chair and starts shaking her body on his lap while the chair goes down and disappears to somewhere under the stage. In a second, she's back on the top of the stairs, without the chair and the man and the opening chords of French Kissing start. She dances on the top of the stairs for a while, but comes down later. The dance routine is really sexy, with her male dancers touching her all over all the time. On the rap part, she walks to the other end of the catwalk and gets down on her knees there while the dancers bring a chair on stage. Sarah comes back to the main stage and does the chair dance she always does in her French Kissing performances. The next song is I Just Started Being Bad in which she goes to the catwalk again and does about the same sexy moves with her male dancers that she did in the only tv performance of the song on TV Total Stockcar Race, rubbing herself against the dancers. The song finishes and she disappears off stage.
Set 3 [Daddy's Eyes, Skin On Skin, For The People, Dolce Vita]

A slide show starts with the words "What's it like to be a mother?" on the screen. "To be a mother..." and photos of Tyler, Sarah & Tyler and Marc & Tyler follow. "It's the greatest gift life can bring" is the next text and then videos of Tyler running around on stage while Sarah's doing the soundcheck. Sarah comes on stage dressed in a beautiful simple red dress and she talks a bit about Tyler, how much he means to her and tells that the photos are very exlusive, only to be seen on the shows. Then she sings Daddy's Eyes, while sitting on a chair at the top of the stairs with a photo of Tyler in the background. After Daddy's Eyes, she comes down the stairs and a piano is brought on stage. Sarah tells that she's gonna do a special version of Skin On Skin now and "let's see if I can make it!" She sings the song just supported by the piano and yes, she can make it! Next song is For The People and she sits down at the end of the catwalk, interacting with the audience and signing the banners of the fans in the first rows. When she goes "This is for the ladies", she asks the ladies to scream and the guys should scream on "This is for the fellas". At the end of the song, she introduces her background singers, who all do little solo parts one by one while the audience, Sarah and everyone else is clapping along. Then she wants the audience to sing "this is for the people, this is for the people, this is for my people" over and over again and everyone's singing and clapping along. After that Sarah tells the next song she's now gonna sing is written about a friend who was in a bad relationship and it is of course Dolce Vita! She disappears backstage after that.
Set 4 [Make U High, Change, Paradise, Bounce]

Sexy Spanish influenced music is playing on the background and one of her female dancers appears on top of the stairs dancing in a Spanish styled outfit. Later a male dancer joins her. After this interlude, the stage had been converted into a hiphop ghetto scene with graffitis and rubbish bins. Sarah comes on stage dressed in tiny black hotpants, a blue Adidas jacket, a cap and boots. She tells the audience that in the next song, they have to dance along and she explains the dance rountine to Make U High. It's the same dance rountine as on the Green Eyed Soul Tour and so many other concerts of hers where you have to put your hands up on high and down on low and then wave them from side to side. She launches into the song and everyone is of course dancing along all the time. She also does some extra high-highs and low-lows just for the audience to do the dance routine in the end of the song. The next song is Change, where she climbs down from the stage and runs around the security area between the stage and the audience touching the hands that are reaching out for her. At a few points, she jumps against the security fence and everyone is trying to grab her! After Change, she climbs on the top of the stairs behind this wire fence with flowers and white and red proofed tape in it. She sings Paradise from behind this fence. The pyrotechnics are really impressive. On the chorus, when she goes "paradise", these huge flames came out of two bins that are on stage as part of the ghetto scene and everytime the huge flame comes up, a heatwave goes over the audience! After the song, Sarah comes down the stairs, walks to the catwalk and tells us it's time for the last song of the evening and everyone goes "nooooo". She tells us that the song means a lot to her, that it's one of her personal favourite songs and it's also had a huge impact on her career and the song goes about being cheated on. She asks the audience what song is it and everyone shouts Bounce and she goes "genau (exactly), Bounce" and she sings Bounce with everyone singing along and clapping. At the end of the song, she climbs on top of the chairs again, the song ends with a huge bang and she disappears to somewhere under the stage like in You Are My Desire and the band leaves the stage as well.
Set 5 [From Sarah With Love, Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy!, Just One Last Dance]

The audience keeps shouting "Zugabe!", which is the German version of "We want more!" and some star looking lights light up. The intro of From Sarah With Love starts and the band members run back on stage. Sarah is lifted above the stage from under the stairs in this romantic swing with roses all over it and she's singing From Sarah With Love. The swing moves closer to the audience on the verses and finally it lands and Sarah's on the stage, where she sings the last part of the song. She cries after the song, but drys her tears and moves on to Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! It's a faster, longer and poppier version of the song without TQ. The whole stage crew, Sarah, the dancers and the musicians walk all around the stage in a queue and are clapping their hands to the music and dancing, just enjoying the last bit of the show. At the end of the song, everyone's standing in a line on the stage and the song ends with another big bang and everyone thanks the audience and walks away, Sarah being the last to leave. But just as she is getting off stage, she turns around, looks around a bit and comes back. She says she'd still like to sing us a song, a number one hit, but unfortunately she has to do it alone. She does the first verse and chorus of Just One Last Dance alone and suddenly Marc appears on the top of the stairs just in time to sing the second verse. He walks down the stairs to join her on the chorus. They keep a distance, but act like they'de desperately want to be closer to each other. They walk to the end of the catwalk to do the final chorus, where they finally wrap around each other and when it's over, Marc lifts Sarah up and they kiss. They talk to the audience a bit, thank them for the show and then Marc says something to Sarah, grabs her by the hand and they run off and the show is over. |
