Sarah gave birth to a baby girl
Sarah has given birth to a baby girl yesterday in Berlin after still being spotted out and about on Saturday. The father of Sarah's third child is her boyfriend and manager Florian Fischer. Sarah also just posted a message on her official Facebook page letting us know the name of the baby, check it out below (translated by Absolute Sarah Connor):
Good evening my dears, we are delighted to be able to announce the birth of our daughter. In the night of the 3rd to the 4th of September, at 1.20 am our wonderful, rosy baby Delphine Malou came into the world. Delphine is radiant with health and is a true Sunday's child. Mama and papa are also well and both of her older siblings already proudly admired their baby sister yesterday. :-)

10 Years since Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy!
On Monday 7th May 2001 a German newcomer released her first single in which she collaborated with a US rap star. The newcomer was Sarah Connor, the single was Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! and the rap star featured was TQ.
Sarah's first single was written by the producer duo KayRob - Kay Denar and Rob Tyger - who she still frequently collaborates with. However Sarah and her team felt that a rap part was needed for the song to make it more interactive and Sarah decided to approach TQ about it.
I sent him a package with a CD and some pictures. We wanted to put a rap part in the song and he was the first artist I thought of. When I sing "Letís get back to bed - boy", heís the boy. I didnít believe heíd do it but a week later he called me, I was really surprised and I thought someone was fooling me! He recorded his part in the US so the first time we met was at the video shoot. It was fun. He was very nice.

The video shoot was in Vancouver in March and the hot single Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! was finally released on 7th May. TQ joined Sarah in Germany for two weeks of promotion and soon the single was playing everywhere. Sarah recalls that the first time she heard it on radio, on a Berliner radio station Kiss FM, she was wrapped in a towel in the dressing room of a gym! Another great moment she described was when she and TQ had popped into McDonald's in Cologne for a quick bite and outside the restaurant, a couple of guys in a jeep were playing the song really loud.
Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! debuted on the German single charts at number 20 and just a couple of hours after she found out about the chart position, she described her feelings to a local magazine.
My manager Carlo Vista really shocked me at first on the phone by telling me that the single landed at #49 while the midweeks were showing #18-#25. I couldn't really believe #49 and when I found out that Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! really made it to #20 and is also the second highest newcomer of the week, I as really surprised despite all the predictions as I really wasn't expecting it.
- Sarah in an interview with CityBeat 23.5.2001
Sarah continued promoting the single alone after TQ returned to the US and on it's 6th and 7th week on the charts, Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! reached it's highest chart position at number 2, beaten by Atomic Kitten's Whole Again on the first week and Dante Thomas's Miss California on the second week. Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! was the 19th best-selling single in Germany in 2001.
Fan for 10 Years
Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! was definitely the song of summer 2001 for me and brings me many great memories of that lovely and carefree summer as a 14 year old. I can still recall the very first time I heard the song like it was yesterday, it was when Sarah and TQ performed it on the German Top Of The Pops for the first time. When the presenter introduced them and told the name of the song, I thought "this can't be good, no one would call her first single that!" and expected to see a girl wearing a tiny bikini singing a trashy eurodance song. Little did I know; I loved it and have been a Sarah fan ever since!
I would like to congratulate Sarah on her first decade in the music business, hopefully there's many more to come. Thank you for the music!
